Booking Terms And Conditions

By booking a trek, tour, or expedition with Mountain of Nepal, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These policies are designed to ensure safety, transparency, and a well-organized travel experience in the Himalayas. Please read them carefully before confirming your trip.

Booking & Confirmation

All bookings with Mountain of Nepal must be completed through official channels. A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving the required deposit and written confirmation from our team. We reserve the right to decline bookings if a trip is not suitable for a traveler’s fitness or other requirements.

  • Bookings via email, website, or authorized agents
  • Confirmation only after the deposit payment
  • Right to refuse unsuitable bookings
  • Special requests considered but not guaranteed

Payment Terms

A deposit is required to secure your trip, with the remaining balance due before departure. Payment must be completed within the specified timeline to avoid cancellation.

  • 30% deposit required at booking
  • Full payment due 30 days before departure
  • Immediate full payment if the booking is last-minute
  • Bank charges paid by the traveler

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing. Refunds depend on how early the cancellation is made before departure. Certain situations may qualify for rescheduling or a refund.

  • Written cancellation required
  • 45+ days: partial refund minus fee
  • 30–45 days: 50% refund
  • Less than 30 days: no refund
  • The company may cancel due to force majeure, with a refund/alternative date.s

Itinerary & Route Changes

Trekking routes and schedules may change due to weather, safety concerns, or local conditions. Flexibility is essential in Himalayan travel.

  • Final decisions made by the guide/company

Health & Fitness

Participants must be physically fit for trekking in high-altitude regions. Health conditions must be disclosed before booking.

  • Good physical fitness is required.
  • Medical conditions must be declared.
  • The company may reject unsafe participants
  • Risk of altitude sickness and fatigue

Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all trips. It must cover medical emergencies, evacuation, and trip cancellations.

  • Company not responsible for medical costs
  • Proof of insurance required

Responsibility & Liability

Mountain of Nepal acts as a service provider and is not liable for personal risks during travel. Participants join at their own responsibility.

  • The company is a trekking facilitator only.
  • No liability for injury, loss, or death
  • No responsibility for external disruptions
  • Participation is at the traveler’s own risk

Travel Documents & Permits

Travelers must carry valid documents and visas. The company assists with permits but does not guarantee approval.

  • Valid passport and visa required
  • Trekking permits arranged with assistance
  • Traveler responsible for legal compliance
  • Penalties for invalid documents borne by the traveler

Safety & Conduct

All participants must follow the guide's instructions and respect local culture and environment. Misconduct may lead to removal from the trip.

Equipment & Gear

Proper trekking gear is the responsibility of the traveler. Guidance is provided by the company.

Photography & Media

Photos and videos may be taken during trips for promotional use. Participation implies consent unless otherwise stated.

  • No misuse of personal identity

Force Majeure

The company is not responsible for disruptions caused by natural disasters or uncontrollable events.

  • Includes earthquakes, weather, strikes, and pandemics
  • No liability for cancellations or delays
  • Assistance provided when possible
  • No guarantee of alternatives

Dispute Resolution

Any issues will first be resolved through mutual discussion. Legal matters fall under Nepal’s jurisdiction.
